PARENT AND CHILD UDON MAKING EXPERIENCE!! This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ever-popular Jumbo Sushi Roll activity will unfortunately not be held at the Perth Japan Festival. Instead, we are now proud to announce an exciting new interactive workshop for kids, an Udon Making experience with the support of Hifumiya Japanese Restaurant, which specialises in Sanuki Udon. Using Hifumiya Restaurant’s original udon recipe, children will have the chance to energetically stomp and roll out the dough to make their own udon. We are proudly announce Perth Japan Festival2021 guest performer, Mr. Sanshi who is a Japanese contemporary didgeridoo player living in Fremantle, Western Australia. Mr. Sanshi started playing didgeridoo in 1997. His passion took him to Arnhemland – the home of didgeridoo, where he met the didgeridoo master Djalu Gurruwiwi and his family. Mr. Sanshi was adopted into their family and given an aboriginal name “Malarra Yunupingu” (Malarra meaning Manta Ray).
